The “Project KARE” Task Force will pursue strategies to minimize the risk of having additional HIGH RISK MISSING PERSONS (HRMP) murdered within the Provincial Capital Region. Furthermore, investigational strategies have been developed to investigate all leads, capture and prosecute the offender(s) responsible for these murders.
Investigational Objectives
1. Prepare and Implement strategies to minimize the risk of having any further “High Risk Missing Persons” murdered.
2. Pursue investigational strategies to investigate all leads, capture and prosecute the offender(s) responsible for these crimes.
3. Establish an integrated homicide unit that enables the province of Alberta to have the capacity to investigate High Risk Missing Persons, unsolved historic homicides, and serial offenders.
4. Create a template of “best practices” for utilization in other similar projects nationally.
